We delivered the first CPE to customers this weekend and today. CPE stands for Customer Premises Equipment and in this case is a sort of “Wi-Fi modem” that will strengthen the connection between your computer and the Pacifica Net network. You can check out this device here: Ruckus MetroFlex.
Some houses won’t require CPE but some will. Odds are, if you want better speed, you will want CPE.
I will be delivering more CPE over the next few days as the beta test gets rolling full speed. The length of the beta test is TBD but we’re going to try to open up phase 1 for residential use as fast as possible to everyone.
