Just a quick head’s up about the latest news.
The beta test continues on this week and will probably wrap up in the next 10-14 days, if not sooner. At that point we will start selling service to residential and small businesses customers.
The results have been very good with more than half of the testers seeing download speeds between 2 and 5 Mbps.
The other great thing is the UPLOAD speeds they are seeing. Many of these testers are seeing upload speeds between 1 Mbps and 3 Mbps. That is obviously a great deal faster than either DSL or Cable.
We’ve also heard about some of our beta testers taking their laptops and working in other parts of the initial coverage area. One tester even took her CPE and headed over to Starbucks where she said the speeds blew away the T Mobile Hot Spot service. The mobility our service will offer should be a great help to those who call on clients in the area or just enjoy working in the park or coffee shop from time to time.
