I have been receiving a lot of great questions from people via email and it occurred to me that many more people may have the same question or questions and that the answers may be helpful to everybody.
So I have decided to put up this entry and let people use the comments area to ask any questions they have about the Pacifica Net Citywide Wi-Fi network.

Just a quick update…
We are currently finishing up a few tests in our initial coverage area and we’ve been very pleased with the way the early version of the Pacifica Net service has performed. The vast majority of our beta testers have been able to receive true broadband speeds inside their homes, with over half getting multiple Mbps-type speeds both uploading and downloading.
The plan for now is to finish up a few more tests in this first coverage area and then begin selling services in that area and shortly after that, begin installing additional APs (the antennas that sit on the street lights and broadcast the signal) as the roll out across Pacifica begins in earnest. We’re looking forward to making our service available to the rest of Pacifica and the installation process should begin in the next 30- 45 days.
