By pacificanet

Many people in the community have been asking for a basic, low-price broadband Internet service to replace their Dial Up service. They want fast Internet at Dial Up prices and they want it from a friendly, local company they can trust.

So we launched a new service called Dial Up Replacement.

It features download speeds up to five times faster than 56K dial up service and the monthly charge is only $9.95. This price includes the rental of a receiving device that will connect to the Pacifica Net network. And there is NO CONTRACT.

If you are a user who does basic web surfing, email, etc., this is the service for you. Save a few bucks and surf the web with plenty of speed (5X faster than normal dial up).

There are several simple questions that I still have after reading your online service descriptions:
    1. If I just sign up for basic residential service (Pedro Point Residence), it indicates that the speed may be up to 5 times 56kps. What is the lowest speed that we may ever expect (Mps)?
    2. I have wireless ready computers in our home. Some are built in WiFi and one has a plug in wireless USB WiFi. We just gave up on Comcast hi speed internet because it kept dropping out or becoming slower than my free university dial up connection. Since I am fighting a long battle with cancer I just got tired of repeatedly trying to get them to fix it with no reliable success. So, I have a modem compatible with Comcast and local wireless setup within my home. If we sign up with you does this mean we will not need any of this equipment except for wireless ready computers?
    3. Roaming appears to mean only within Pacifica general location. Is this correct?
    4. If we just want residential service what are the charges during the “free trial period”?
    5. What does your rental device cost and is it true that we will get fifty dollars of this rebated if we sign up during the current promotion?
    6. If we buy the unit what will our monthly cost be?
